How do I set up step tracking on Leveling Steps?

Setting up step tracking is easy:

  • Open Leveling Steps and complete the onboarding process
  • Allow permissions for activity tracking when prompted
  • Set your daily step goal (default is 10,000 steps)
  • Your device will automatically start tracking steps
  • For iPhone users: Grant HealthKit permissions for more accurate tracking
  • For Android users: Grant Google Fit permissions if desired
Why aren't my steps being counted accurately?

Step counting accuracy can be affected by several factors:

  • Device placement: Carry your phone in your pocket or bag while walking
  • Walking style: Very slow or irregular walking may not be detected
  • Phone orientation: Keep your phone upright when possible
  • Background refresh: Ensure Leveling Steps can run in the background
  • Battery optimization: Disable battery optimization for Leveling Steps
  • Permissions: Check that motion & fitness permissions are enabled

If issues persist, try restarting the app or your device.

Can I sync my data across multiple devices?

Yes! Your Leveling Steps data syncs across all your devices when you're logged in:

  • Create an account with your email address
  • Log in on all devices you want to sync
  • Your step data, goals, and progress will sync automatically
  • Friends and leaderboard data will be available on all devices
  • Changes made on one device will appear on others within minutes

Note: You need an internet connection for syncing to work.

How do I change my daily step goal?

You can adjust your daily step goal anytime:

  • Open Leveling Steps and go to your profile or settings
  • Look for "Daily Goal" or "Step Goal" settings
  • Choose from preset goals (3K, 6K, 10K, 12K, 15K) or set a custom goal
  • Your new goal will take effect immediately
  • The app will adjust progress tracking to your new target
Is my health data secure and private?

Absolutely! We take your privacy very seriously:

  • All data is encrypted in transit and at rest
  • We never sell your personal or health data
  • You control what information is shared with friends
  • Health data integration requires your explicit permission
  • You can delete your account and data at any time
  • We comply with privacy laws like GDPR and CCPA

How do I delete my account?

To delete your Leveling Steps account:

  • Open the app and go to Settings or Profile
  • Look for "Account Settings" or "Privacy Settings"
  • Select "Delete Account" or "Close Account"
  • Confirm your decision when prompted
  • Your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted within 30 days

How do I manage my subscription and billing?

Subscription management depends on your device:

  • iPhone/iPad: Go to Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions > Leveling Steps
  • Android: Open Google Play Store > Menu > Subscriptions > Leveling Steps
  • Cancel Subscription: You can cancel anytime through your device settings
  • Refund Requests: Contact Apple Support (iOS) or Google Play Support (Android)
  • Billing Issues: Contact your app store directly for payment problems

Note: We cannot process refunds directly - all billing is handled by Apple or Google.

What happens if I cancel my subscription?

When you cancel your subscription:

  • Access Continues: You'll keep premium features until the current billing period ends
  • No Auto-Renewal: Your subscription won't renew automatically
  • Data Preservation: All your step data and progress remain safe
  • Reactivation: You can resubscribe anytime to restore premium features
  • Downgrade: You'll return to the free version with basic features

Your account and data are never deleted when you cancel a subscription.

I was charged but didn't receive premium features

If you're experiencing subscription issues:

  • Restart the App: Close and reopen Leveling Steps completely
  • Check Subscription Status: Verify in your device settings that the subscription is active
  • Wait a Few Minutes: Sometimes there's a delay in subscription activation
  • Log Out and Back In: Sign out of your account and sign back in
  • Check App Store Receipt: Ensure the purchase was successful in your app store

If the issue persists, contact us with your purchase receipt and we'll help resolve it.

The app is crashing or not loading properly

If you're experiencing app crashes or loading issues:

  • Force close and restart: Close the app completely and reopen it
  • Restart your device: Turn your phone off and on again
  • Update the app: Check for updates in your app store
  • Check your internet: Ensure you have a stable internet connection
  • Clear app cache: Go to phone settings > apps > Leveling Steps > clear cache
  • Reinstall: Delete and reinstall the app (data will sync back when you log in)
